A small geocache we found in North York today...

In celebration of Rubens breaking The Stig's Liana laptime of 1:44.4, here is a photo of Hamilton and The Stig. Hamilton clocked 1:44.7 on his visit, in wet and oil conditions. lol.

July 14, 2010 - Eco Tax

$0.60 ECO TAX on a $2.97 product.... that's 20%!!!!

Apparently, Canadian Tire has been overcharging customers the new Eco Tax since July 1st. Their spokesperson said that customers can bring their receipts in to get back the difference between the "correct price, and the new adjusted correct price." WTF.

I went back, the customer service lady was like, I cannot just return the ECO FEE. lol. I asked her to check how much the Eco Fee is now for this product... $0.01. She was kind enough to return my original purchase, and re-buy it again for me with the new fee.

Grr. I hate taxes.

Doesn't that look like Tigger?

My first ever Piggy Bank, courtesy of the Royal Bank of Scotland (the branch is no longer there when I revisited this summer :( )... I unearthed this guy while clearing some of my stuff this morning.

There's still a lot of coins inside, some sterling, some HKD from the British Empire days.. and maybe others. Unfortunately, I have no idea where the key is... guess I'll have to break the piggy another day.

A painting I made (templated off an existing drawing) in Grade 7. lol. That's the limits of my artistic ability.

The mosquitos at Downsview are DEADLY! >_

July 6, 2010 - BURN!!!

Man, these burns totally tore my heart out when I saw them. The "Burn-Proof" Fertilizer I got on June 21st is apparently not so burn proof after all. sigh.

The Springfield Armory was the primary center for the manufacture of U.S. military small arms and the site of many important technological advances in gun manufacture. The site was actually dedicated by Washington himself... so quite a bit of history in this place.

This also happens to be the most visited NP by me... my 5th visit here.

Chinese Tea House at Marble House (Mansion) in Newport, RI. I was gonna buy the Marble House, but good thing Pekoe told me in time that she didn't like it... :D

Fort Stanwix, in Rome, NY. A recreation of the wooden fort from 1700's.

I usually get requests for food items when I head to the USA. One of the more popular items is Ketchup Chips. For some reason, there are no Ketchup Chips in the USA (at least as far as I'm aware). While I'm not a big fan of them, after extended periods of time in the states, having a bag of ketchup chips just "feels like home".

My lawn has been growing nicely after Doris and I spent considerable amount of time and money repairing the dead spots. Although there are still many patches, the major ones are growing quite healthily. Time to fertilize.

Attending a CITO garbage pickup in the morning before heading to Kortright for a day of geocaching. Never been to Kortright before, so it was cool to explore the various trails and geological features in the area. My favourite part of the day was the tour of the million dollar eco-home.

Thanks Ralph for organizing again. :)

There were two cars that had always caught my eye ever since I started working. It took me a few years to realize CHOCOBO was owned by none-other than my coworker who sat in the cube next to mine.. lol. I haven't figured out who owns TARUTARU tho.

A card that Pekoe got me.. lol. I love silly little cards... it's so my style. :D

I'd love to have one - to drap on my back and to have it as a souvenir (2008 was first year I got into F1 by attending Monaco GP). However, it was pricey and utterly useless. Pekoe settled my indecision by just buying the flag for me. So sweet. lol. I love this present. :D

LEWIS HAMILTON braking into turn 8 at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal!!!

The Virgin music stage as part of the F1 festivities on Crescent Street.

One of two functional service areas in over 400+km of Hwy 401 towards Montreal. Really pathetic. :(

End of the badminton season, a bunch of us went to Kenny's to celebrate. Totally forgot to take pictures at the actual dinner... so this is a last minute shot to satisfy my P365.

As part of the leadup to F1 Canadian Grand Prix, Pekoe gave me a most awesome gift (and part of our 1 yr present). An autographed copy of Hamilton's biography ... reading his take on the 2008 Brazilian GP brought tears to my eyes.... and this shirt!

I still cannot believe she got me this. haha.

A project to revatalize Market Village into a mega mall and hotel complex right beside P-Mall.

Didn't at all like the way this photo turned out. Was trying to capture the little apples growing in my tree. Suffering from post-trip photography withdrawal.
