I was browsing around various forums this morning and stumbled onto this particular piece. I'm sure anyone who's played Guitar Hero can relate to this strip. Free Bird (@5:30) and Bark at the Moon (@2:50) easily spring to mind.
Sigh, it's a long, hard road to become a Guitar Legend. :(
A asked me yesterday at dinner whether I saw Lindsay's light display over the holidays. I had no idea what he was talking about. Apparently, it's one of those computerized action lights display that's in sync with music broadcast over some FM channel. I've seen the videos of similar displays on YouTube, etc. This show won the internationally acclaimed 2004 Worldwide Outdoor Christmas Lighting contest. Even though the show is in its 4th year, Tochi hasn't ever heard of the Lindsay's. The silly part is, their house (Bayview and Steeles) is a 3 minute drive from Tochi's hut in T.O.
Fortunately, they were running their light show this year till January 13th. Tochi sneaked over there in the TochiMobile tonight. Pressed a little button, drove around the roundabout to a good viewing spot, and watched the show. I caught most of the show with a shaky TochiCam [View HERE ~30 MB]. Excuse the humming and random commentary by passengers in Tochimobile. The wind kind of ruined it too. It's definitely much better seeing it in person. For the foreigners, this is just another reason to visit T.O!
The 2nd song in the video rocks. Around 3:48 in the video, with the lights scanning through the tunnel over the driveway, I could not help but think that this would make an awesome Guitar SOLO sequence!
T.O. buds, Winterlicious 2007 is almost upon us. Reservations with AE starts tomorrow. It's gonna run Jan 26-Feb 8! Fancy food for a "decent" price.

A Pregnant Man? (ABCNews - Aug 23, 2006)
After reading this article, you WILL feel creeped out. Very creeped out. Nothing is impossible in this world.
One of my New Year resolutions is to blog more frequently. My old blog was in the sorry state of never being updated. After running into several annoying issues with Windows Live Spaces (no support anonymous comment posting, no custom picture alignment, retarded auto-save infrastructure, etc), I decided to give Blogger a try. With the Google Account integration, it can't hurt trying.
After logging into Blogger, I tried to create a new blog with the name 'tochihut' (surprise surprise). However, to my REAL surprise, this name was taken already! WHO else would want TochiHut.blogspot.com?!? Blogger offered some free alternatives, including 'tochi-tochihut' and 'tochihut-tochi'. It's pretty cool that they were able to recognize 'tochihut' as 'tochi' 'hut'. :)
Fast-forward a few minutes, it dawned on me that I created a Blogger account a while back. I had taken tochihut.blogspot.com and parked it, for future use. :) The sad, but happy truth is that no one else wanted 'TochiHut', except for me.
Blogger has a nice feature to link your old Blogger account to your Google Account. It took only a few clicks to get them hooked up. The options/settings on Blogger are so much easier to customize (i.e. Edit HTML). As fancy as Windows Live Spaces was, it's just not as mature as Blogger. I honestly gave Spaces a try, but when an amateur blogger like moi has problems with it, that's pretty sad.
